Amougou rose through the youth ranks at Saint-Etienne before making his senior debut in 2023. He has made 17 appearances in Ligue 1 and has also been capped at youth level by France.

Amougou, who joined Saint-Étienne at the age of 18, has joined Chelsea on an eight-year deal. The Premier League side confirmed the completion of the deal following the closure of the transfer window on Tuesday. The permanent transfer is thought to be worth €15m.
