Manchester United have agreed a deal to let Tyrell Malacia return to the Netherlands on loan to PSV Eindhoven.

Malacia, 25, returned to action for the Premier League club in November following 17 months out with injury issues.

Malacia’s move comes after Manchester United signed Denmark wing-back Patrick Dorgu from Lecce on a five-and-a-half-year deal on Sunday.

Malacia has been restricted to eight appearances in all competitions for United this season since returning from two lots of knee surgery on 28 November.

While most of Europe’s transfer markets closed on Monday, February 3, the Netherlands’ winter transfer window only closed on Tuesday, February 4, and a major transfer took place in the case of Tyrell Malacia.

PSV Eindhoven, a giant from the Netherlands, was able to close a deal to loan Malacia, a left-back from Manchester United, until the end of the season on the league’s transfer window closing day.

PSV are covering the full wage bill and both clubs have included a permanent transfer clause in the summer for €10m. With United also set to receive 30 per cent of any future transfer fee.
